Leaving L.A. for Las Vegas

This weekend I'm moving my life and business to Las Vegas! I'm looking forward to building a new loyal client base for my business in Summerlin.

So, why am I moving?

Well there's a few reasons. First- I love Vegas! I mean, I got married there twice!

After around 30 years in business, COVID nearly completely shut us down. Just as we were coming back from that mess, the film industry, because of the writers and actors strikes which went on for nearly a year, also had strong consequences for any business that was film industry adjacent. Bars, restaurants, and yes, photography studios were closing right and left. 6 months later there were new threats of industry strikes for the below the line crew members (makeup, props, teamsters, etc). Literally, every business was less busy, and less profitable.

On top of that, California, and Los Angeles in particular are so mismanaged. Without getting too political, California has, quite possibly, the worst governor in the country, and L.A. has the worst Mayor. Just my opinion. The recent fires around the Los Angeles area has caused untold billions of dollars worth of damage. So, after living here for just over 40 years, it's just time to make a change.

Lastly, the dollar goes so much farther in Vegas. I got a 3 bedroom + loft house for $1000 less per month than I pay for a small loft in L.A. Everything is more affordable in Nevada. At my age (63) I'm not ready to retire, but I also not willing to work like I did 20 years ago. I need my income to go farther.

I'm so looking forward to my new shooting space within my spacious residential studio! There will be new rooms, and new sets, and a renewed excitement for my craft!

I hope to see you all soon for a luxury Boudoir session in Las Vegas!
